[Background] http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Alta%C3%AFr_Ibn-La%27Ahad

[Personality] Altaïr was at first very standoffish, rude, and arrogant. He took no direction from his peers and did not follow the tenets of his Creed, believing himself above the rules the others must follow. This leads him to be disgraced and he must earn back his ranking, taking orders from those he previously looked down upon and belittled. These circumstances do lead to him having a change in personality; he no longer believes himself to be better than the others, and shows concern over their safety and the safety of innocents who can be in harm’s way.

Altaïr has recently learned to take criticism and advice from his peers; and while he does still have hostile reactions to those whom he believes to belittle him, he does listen and take their words to heart. This does not however make him a nicer person; Altaïr is not a social person and has very few confidantes.

He is not very patient when it comes to informants, but is willing to wait for the perfect moment to strike his target. Altaïr also shows a dry sense of humor, though for the most he is very serious, preferring to use logic to make his point.

During particularly traumatic times, Altaïr does tend to slip into old habits and his old personality. He becomes cold and aloof, speaking to others as if they are beneath him. He speaks in shorter sentences and is quicker to anger, although with those he respects and trusts he does remain polite and friendly.

At first Altaïr is motivated by his pride, wanting to regain his position of power in the Brotherhood and prove his critics wrong; this morphs into wanting to help the people of the Holy Land and stop the Crusades. He firmly believes in the philosophy of “kill one to save a thousand” and does not kill innocents. He does research on his targets and finds proof that they are evil men.

From the point in canon that he is taken, Altaïr has just been betrayed by his Master. He was the one who raised him and was his only father figure. Al Mualim’s betrayal has left Altaïr doubting his purpose. He has to find a balance between what he believes is true and the knowledge that his targets may have been innocents in the way of Al Mualim’s schemes.

[Specialties/Abilities] Altaïr is a master assassin who has been trained since a young age. He is a master of hand-to-hand and extremely skilled with swords, daggers, throwing knives and his hidden blade. He is able to blend in with any crowd and is a master of pick pocketing, eavesdropping, and can follow a target unseen until he strikes. He is also very intuitive, showing several times that he can understand a situation without being fully informed.

He is very agile and quick, able to scale any building and jump from rooftop to rooftop and balance of narrow beams. Physically he is quite strong and his endurance and stamina are very high; he is capable of fighting off several guards at once as well as fleeing if the smarter option. His training also includes being able to survive falls from great heights using bales of hay as landing pads.

Altaïr is also capable of using Eagle Vision, which he uses to identify friend, foe, and informant by illuminating them in colors only he can see.

[Affection] Altair is generally distrusting of physical affection. Unless he knows you very well or has prior warning (and even then that may not be enough), he will react violently to what he sees as a threat to his well being.

[Fighting] Altair has been training with a blade since a young age and is more then able to kill, both physically and mentally. He is a fully trained Assassin and will not hesitate. That being said, he's not indestructible and I'm more then willing to have him injured. If you want to kill him I just ask to be contacted with the reasons. Altair would not knowingly go looking for a fight. As far as he knows most here are innocents and he does not kill innocents. His attitude however may piss others off.

[Other Permissions] Altair does have the ability to see others' true allegiances as different colors. Please just let me know either way about him using this ability on your character. Past that, I'm pretty easy about what you can do to him, just send me a PM or AIM and we can discuss it.

[Other Facts] I'm really easy going about what I'm willing to do with him. Just PM or AIM or Plurk me if there are any questions.
